Auckland Med series

Auckland Med is a fictional hospital set in New Zealand’s largest city.

This 5-book series has something for everyone along with a strong found family vibe. There’s an enemies-to-lovers cop/Dr romantic suspense; a closeted rugby hero who meets his nemesis in a bossy makeup and lingerie wearing Charge Nurse; a wheelchair rugby Paralympian who falls for an out and proud gender fluid nurse; and an opposites-attract introverted pathologist who creates sparks with a commitment-phobe cop.

Book 1

First Impressions

Two years ago, I made a mistake, a big one. Then I added a couple more just for good measure. I screwed up my life, but I survived.

Now I have the opportunity for a fresh start. Two years in NZ. Away from the LA gossip, a chance to breathe, to rebuild my life. But I’m taking a new set of rules with me.

I don’t do white picket fences.

And I especially don’t do arrogant, holier-than-thou, smoking hot K9 officers who walk into my ER and rock my world.

Book 2

Crossing the Touchline

What if you’ve worked your whole life for a dream, to play rugby for the most successful sports team on the planet, the New Zealand All Blacks?

What if that dream is so close you can smell it?

What if you meet someone?

What if you fall in love?

What if your dream will cost the man who’s stolen your heart?

And what if the dream changes?

Reuben Taylor has a choice to make.

Cameron Wano is that choice.

Book 3

Up Close and Personal

DETECTIVE MARK KNIGHT has a serious problem—one that comes in the form of Auckland Med’s brand-new forensic pathologist, DR EDWARD R NEWTON.

The man is miles out of Mark’s league; completely opposite in almost every way. Shockingly immune to Mark’s flirtations, Edward doesn’t want a bar of Mark’s roguish charm.

But it’s not like Mark can avoid the sexy pathologist—death brings them together on a regular basis. So when a string of murders threatens both their lives and sends them into hiding, something has to give.

Book 4

Against the Grain

I don’t like labels and I’m happy that way, but it’s taken a long time to get here. A jerk of a father, too many bullies, and a string of dipshit boyfriends whose interest in me rarely made it past the skirts I sometimes wear.

The last thing I need is a gruff, opinionated, fiery, closeted, Paralympian jock. Miller Harrison is a wrinkle in my life I could definitely do without. I have a job that I love, a boss who understands me, and a group of friends who accept me as I am.

But Miller knows a thing or two about living life against the grain, and that hope I thought I’d buried a long time ago, is threatening to surface.

Book 5

You Are Cordially Invited

There’s a wedding in the air at Auckland Med, but Reuben wonders if they’ll survive the stress long enough to say, ‘I do’. Cam is directing the entire operation with his combat eyeliner in place, however the cracks are beginning to show.

There’s a bachelor party to survive. The paparazzi to outrun. A wedding outfit to confirm. A rugby game to win. A jerk of a father to cope with. A stunning opportunity to consider. A relationship to untangle. And a shocking event that could derail everything.

With the universe conspiring against them, Reuben and Cam will have to summon every scrap of belief they have in each other to make it to their vows.

  • Crossing The Touchline

This was my first Jay Hogan book. It will most definitely NOT be my last. Hogan takes the reader into the rugby world, into the realm of New Zealand’s All-Black Rugby at that. With the backdrop of this super masculine sport, Hogan creates an amazingly sweet, extraordinarily hot romance. ……These guys are the kind of characters that stick with you long after the happily ever after. This book had me up way too late because I just could not put it down. The sleepless night was so worth the ending. I am standing by for the next book in this series.

  • Up Close and Personal

I love how Ms. Hogan told their story of animosity/dislike, attraction and eventually, love and acting on it. I love the banter the characters have with each other, not just between the main characters but even the supporting characters. Seeing loved characters from previous books are always a bonus. The action keeps me rooted!

With all of these elements how can I not enjoy this third book? This is another amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me Ms. Jay Hogan, thank you!
