ETHAN SHARPE is living every young Kiwi's dream—seeing the world for a couple of years while deciding what to do with his life, no rush. Then he gets a call. Two days later he's back in New Zealand. Six months later his mother is dead, his fifteen-year-old brother is going off the rails and the café he's inherited is failing. His life is a hot mess and the last thing he needs is another complication—like the man who just walked into his café—

a much older...

sinfully hot...

EPIC complication.

TANNER CARPENTER's time in Queenstown has an expiration date. He has a new branch of his business to get up and running, exorcise a few personal demons while he's at it, and then head back to Auckland to get on with his life. He isn't looking for a relationship especially with someone fifteen years his junior, but Ethan is gorgeous, troubled and in need of a friend. Tanner could be that for Ethan, right? He could brighten Ethan's day for a few months, help him out where possible, and maybe offer some... stress relief, no strings attached.

It was a good plan, until it wasn't.

ALSO AVAILABLE IN EBOOK & PAPERBACK

This 4-book series centres around two brothers and their friends and colleagues. It is set in Queenstown, New Zealand, a region boasting some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in the world and which also lays claim to the title of adventure capital of the world—home to the original bungy jump and numerous other scream-worthy experiences.

The stories have a strong emphasis on found family and hurt/comfort. There is an age gap romance; grumpy meets grumpy romantic suspense; a New Zealand cowboy falling for sassy city slicker leading to hilarious shenanigans; and a winemaker dealing with a difficult family who finds himself smitten with a young guy he'd kissed just once the year before.

What a beautiful, poignant book.

t's a May/December story set in Southern New Zealand, between two men on a borrowed limited time together, and each of them is dealing with overcoming their own grief meanwhile.
Ethan, 23, is dealing with the recent loss of his mother to cancer, and struggling with raising his youinger brother and carring on his mother cafè.
Tanner, 39, is only in Queenstown for a few months to launch his business branch, and being in the mountains brings back the pain of losing his former career as a pro snowboarder to an injyury.
Ethan and Tanner cannot stay away from each other despite knowing that when the time comes to part, that will rip both their hearts in two.
A lot of tears where shed towards the end of this beatiful book.

ALL the FEELS!

I just finished chapter 24 of Powder and Pavlova…it gutted me. 😭 Those declarations and devastation of being separated was brutal. The writing is amazing and the narration makes it so real to me. I’m so glad a friend suggested I meet Jay Hogan’s books!
